And yet more photos from last semester. Here're a couple of the sculptures I did for Sculpture 1. A wooden circular saw (made almost entirely out of two by fours -- the exception being the blade), and a metal bird wing (goodness, but welding was fun).

Printmaking 1
And, also from last semester, some prints from my intro to printmaking class! It was half-fun, half-entirely- frustrating. I really got to develop the idea behind these images, though, which is definitely different for me -- these are some of the most symbolic works I've put out, which is strange because I don't do symbolism.
These ones have titles.
begets & begotten, copperplate.
begets & begotten & begets, copper plate.
All is, copper plate.
Pyratized Breath, aluminum plate.
Transformative, stone.

Drawing 1
Just uploading some work from last semester that I finally got around to taking pictures of. This class was the first time I was really forced to use charcoal. It wasn't all bad, either. Next semester is the first time I will really paint. What kind of an artist am I, anyway? That's kind of pathetic. We'll see how it goes.
re(approaching)singular(ity)
singularity [sing-gyuh-lar-i-tee]: n. a point in space-time at which gravitational forces cause matter to have infinite density and infinitesimal volume, and space and time to become infinitely distorted.
According to general relativity, the universe began in a singularity. One theory of the end of the universe is that it will collapse into a singularity again.
